Beware Of The Super Pigmented E.L.F HD Blush In "Encore" - Don't Be Fooled By The Cheapness
Wow, another review, how cool is that? :)
Today
I'm gonna write about the liquid / cream blusher that I absolutely love
- the E.L.F HD Blush in the shade Encore. This line comes in 5
different shades: Encore, Diva, Headliner, Superstar and Showstopper,
but I picked up the most tempting one.
PACKAGING:
Comes in a transparent plastic tube with a black cap. The cap has a slight rubber feel to it. The blush also has a pump with a tiny hold / dispenser that can help in getting the minimal amount of product.
INGREDIENTS:
PRICE: $3.00 for 0.34 oz / 9.64 g of product.
CONSISTENCY AND FINISH:
This is neither liquid nor cream, it's kinda like a soft whipped formula with subtle shimmer to it. However once blended out the shimmer becomes almost nonexistent.
Make sure you use the minimal amount of product as it is EXTREMELY pigmented unlike other cream blushes which look intense inside the packaging but once blended out they become so sheer. One tiny pump goes a long long way that can colour both your cheeks or even can be used on your lips as well. It blends out nicely but requires a little time to get used to its pigmentation and you should better blend it quickly. I've never come across such thing, which can be very self-explanatory about my cheeks being like a clown's on first use.
I also found a nice use of of this little product: lippie! Sheer out a little on your lips and then add some lipgloss or apply it over lip balm to achieve a lovely pouty look. This is really useful if you want your lips to match your cheeks :) This is a stunning lip colour I tell you!
There's something unsatisfying about this product though, and it might sound ridiculous enough but it's a little too pigmented that you cannot just slap on your face and go. And if you decide to blend it with your fingers then most of the product ends up sticking on your fingers rather than the cheeks (which is actually no huge problem considering the pigmentation). The pump is a nice feature, but again you can't really control how much product is squeezed out so it can be a little waste.
All in all I do find it a very impressive product that's worth checking out :)
