Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palette - Petal Pusher

Wet n Wild Color Icon in Petal Pusher eyeshadow palette ($4.99 for 8.5g/ 0.3oz) is one of the three permanet variations of their 8-pan palettes: Petal Pusher (purples), Blue Had Me At Hello (blues) and Comfort Zone (browns and greens). This is their cult product since it's in the favorite list of many reviewers and bloggers. Just look at how beautiful it is! However, the question is: does it perform as nicely as how it looks? Let's take a peak!

I have numbered the shades for easier reference:
  1. White with pink pearlescent shine to it, nice for actual highlight under the brown bone
  2. Soft lilac, almost matte with the slightest shine to it. My favourite out of the eight shades
  3. Dark purple with medium level of shimmer
  4. Lighter blue-based purple with bigger blue shimmer particles
  5. Frosty light pink
  6. Bronzy coppery rose color with gold shimmer
  7. Blackened burgundy with bigger pink-purple shimmer particles
  8. Matte black with silver shimmer
I am not in fact thrilled by this palette despite the gorgeous color selection. The outstanding shades must be 7 and 8 since they are very densely pigmented (but the shimmer does not translate very well on the lid). I love shade 6 as well but wish it was more pigmented since it seems to be the most exciting colour out of this purple-themed palette. Overall I like it, and Wet n Wild's Color Icon formulation is one of the best out there in the drugstore, but I don't classify it as a must-have. These are all a little patchy and do not compete with the other palette from the same range Comfort Zone. If you are looking for a purple variety, check out the Sleek's Vintage Romance palette in which you will find purples and vintage golds.
