Sleek Vintage Romance i-Divine Palette

Sleek Vintage Romance i-Divine palette ($11.99 for 12x1.1g/ 12x0.03oz) came out last September just in time for the wintertime that features vintage gold and purple hues. Mine came in the standard black outer packaging instead of the beautiful golden vintage-looking one even though on their website it still shows that latter. I am not sure why, maybe it was just available for a limited time? However it displeases me quite a lot.
Create stunning eye makeup with 12 shades of super pigmented eye shadow. i-Divine palettes are suitable for all skin tones adding a touch of stylish sophistication to take you from day to night. Each palette includes a matte dark colour, ideal for definition or perfecting that classic smoky effect.
Create enchanting eyes with Vintage Romance i-Divine.

Metallic Court In Cannes or matte Propose In Prague can be applied on the eye lid as a base for every look Shimmery shades such as Pretty In Paris and Meet In Madrid can be applied to the inner corners, to brighten the face and widen eyes Blend sparkly, darker shades Forever In Florence or Love In London along the eye socket to contour and add definition to your eyes Sleek MakeUP suggests opulent eyes by applying Court In Cannes all over the eye lid sweeping it underneath the bottom lash line. Blend metallic shade Bliss In Barcelona along the eye socket to define eyes. To intensify the look, layer sparkly Forever In Florence over the eye socket, focusing on the outer corners.

  • Pretty In Paris: silvery white, shimmer finish
  • Meet In Madrid: pale gold, shimmer
  • Court In Cannes: brownish taupe, shimmer
  • Lust In LA: taupe, shimmer
  • Romance In Rome: deep purple with blue shimmer
  • Propose In Prague: rose-toned medium brown, matte finish
  • A Vow In Venice: medium purple with a slight brown tone, satin finish
  • Marry In Monte Carlo: medium purple with a slight hint of pink, shimmer
  • Honeymoon In Hollywood: matte pink-toned purple with silver glitter
  • Bliss In Barcelona: blueish purple with blue shimmer
  • Forever In Florence: matte brown-based deep purple with silver glitter
  • Love In London: matte black with silver glitter
I find most of the shades especially the ones with glitter particles are quite stiff, decently pigmented and prone to fall out a lot. All of them swatch quite weakly on bare skin, and the glitter particles do fall off majorly but they definitely can benefit from a base to boost color intensity. The shimmery shades are a little smoother but still cannot compare to those in Sleek's older palettes (for example their Original palette). In the last two photos I swatched them with a flat small shading brush in packing method to get the most pigmentation out of them over a normal foundation. Over primer they do appear much more vibrant and the glitter adhere much better. I must say in normal daylight they look quite so-so but under artificial light the glitter looks so ah-ma-zing that I had to take a photo to show you.

Overall it's a fine palette which does offer some stunning shades (for me they are Propose In Prague, Honeymoon In Hollywood and Forever In Florence respectively). The quality is definitely not as great as their previous releases but if you fancy a convenient complementary short of purple and gold hues, this is worth a try.
