BH Cosmetics Take Me To Brazil Palette

With the mind-blowing ever-growing popularity of the Urban Decay Electric palette, I thought it was quite the time to write a review on this little palette. The BH Cosmetics Take Me To Brazil Palette ($19.95 but currently on sale for $10.50 for 28g/ 0.99oz) is a nice thing if you want to experiment with colors without hurting your pocket (mine cries all the time, ha!) in case you unfortunately find this style is not for you. Experimenting is most of the time always a good thing I believe. The palette contains 28 smaller-sized eyeshadows and 2 large ones. The palette is made of quite sturdy cardboard which feels a little heavy housing a little mirror inside.
Wild and exotic colors await you inside the Take me to Brazil, 30 Color Eyeshadow Palette! This fantastic collection of shimmer, satin and matte eyeshadows is inspired by the outrageous Brazilian parade, Carnival! Get ready to Samba with this highly pigmented rainbow of colors in reds, pinks, oranges, yellows, greens, blues, and purples. Featuring 2 extra-large bonus eyeshadows in iridescent white and matte black that will help you add glow and mystery to your finished look!
Ingredients: Talc, Mica, Mineral Oil, Titanium Dioxide, Magnesium Stearate, Isopropyl Palmitate, Lanolin, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, BHT. May contain: Mica (and) Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Ultramarine Blue, Manganese Violet, Chrome Oxide Greens, Chrome Hydroxide Green, Ferric Ammonium Ferrocyanide, FD&C Red No. 40 Al Lake, FD&C Yellow No. 5 Al Lake, FD&C Blue No. 1 Al Lake, D&C Black No. 2.

From left to right over primer: irredescent white with green sheen, matte black, matte bright pink, satin red-based pink, matte red, shimmer coppery red, matte orange-based yellow, satin orange with a slight gold sheen, matte neon orange and shimmer copper.

From left to right over primer: matte lemony yellow, satin lemony yellow, matte yellow, shimmer gold, matte neon green, shimmer lime green, matte grass green, shimmer golden green, matte blue, shimmer aqua blue, matte teal, satin deep green.

From left to right over primer: matte medium blue, satin medium royal blue, matte royal blue, matte with soft glitter blue, matte grape purple, satin with soft glitter blue, matte deep purple and shimmer lilac purple.

All the colors work best over primer, otherwise most of them (except for the shimmer) are quite chalky and powdery. Also it should be taken into notice that it works much better to pack to colors onto the lids whilst the primer is still a little tacky so the pigment can be better adhered to the skin. You may try to use a white base also to boost color vibrancy.

Overall it is a fun little palette to experiment with, nothing else. For someone who has a while selection of colors in their collection already, this palette is definitely a leave-it, but if you don't, let's give it a try.
