Makeup Academy MUA - Shimmer Kisses Bronzer Review + Swatch - A Lovely Malfunction
Happy
Monday! Not so much, I hate Mondays like doctors hate apples :)
Today
it's about bronzers again, but a little different this time. Normally I go for
matte bronzers, but I couldn't resist this lovely compact offered by Makeup
Academy MUA.
This
is one of the two items come in their Shimmer Kisses range - Bronzer and
Blusher launched awhile back I believe. However it's a permanent addition to
the line, so there's no hurry in catching one.
PACKAGING:
Comes in a compact black plastic case with a clear lid. This certainly feels
quite sturdier
than their other compacts (i.e regular blushers, eyeshadow palettes and such).
I simply adore the purple glittery lips, such a nice twist to the basic
packaging.
PRICE:
GBP £3.00 for 7.3g of product.
AVAILABILITY: only on their website HERE I believe.
WHAT THE COMPANY CLAIMS:
"The Shimmer Kiss Bronzer creates
a deep, bronzy subtle glow. Working well with neutral and deep MUA blush shades
and the four squares of luminous colour s also work well as individual eye
shadows!
Sweep a bronzing brush through all four
shades and dust lightly on cheekbones after blush. Focus on applying where the
sun would naturally hit the face – forehead, cheekbones, centre of the nose and
chin for the most flattering look. To add a highlight to eyes, apply the
lightest shade in the compact just under brow bone with fingertips or an eye
shadow brush."
This
bronzer compact comes in four different shimmery shades as what the name
suggests, in which 3 out of 4 are peachy.
Clockwise
the first section is a golden shimmer shade, 2 a light peach, 3 a golden peachy
shade and finally 4 is a tad more dusty mauve-y peach.
Shade
1 and 3 are especially contain more shimmer and are more reflective than shade
2 and 4. All shades are smooth, blend well on the skin and are decently
pigmented.
Even
though called "Bronzer", this compact cannot by any means be a
bronzing shade as it's SO shimmery and SO light. I believe even on an off-white
skin tone it won't even show up as a bronzing colour. However I do find that
this product can be used very nicely as a subtle highlighter with various
shades that suit different skin tones whereas shade 2 and 4 can be nice
blushers when you're in for a glowing peachy appearance.
I
hope you find this review informative and helpful. Until next time!
