Wet n Wild Color Icon Trio - Silent Treatment
On the beauty menu today we have this "iconic" product from the drugstore which I am super excited about to share with you! Wet n Wild Color Icon in Silent Treatment ($2.99 for 3.5g / 0.12oz) is one of several palettes I have and been enjoying from the brand. Why don't we just dive right in to determine whether the hype is true?
These trios come in a bunch of coordinating colors that can give you the opportunity to create a complete eye look. What's better is that since they're so affordable you can collect them all without feeling guilty. The packaging, as you can see, is just a simple black plastic compact with a clear lid and a mini dual-ended brush as well (one brush on one end and a sponge tip applicator on the other) which I already threw away.
Silent Treatment features three colors that work very well with each other (swatched on bare skin):
- Browbone: a pale low shimmer peachy pink
- Crease: a very dark brown with silver glitter particles (hardly show up on the lids)
- Eyelid: a shimmery taupe
The formula feels exactly like their 8-pan palettes (I review two here: Petal Pusher and Comfort Zone): very soft and pigmented. However, there's the difference in consistency in these shades: the brownbone color is a little powdery and sheer, the crease color very pigmented yet a little stiff and the lid color very pigmented as well, creamy and surprisingly smooth. I personally am thrilled with the quality and the affordability of these shadows, they are no doubt the best easily-accessible products out there. This trio creates a very classic smokey eye look that works well with any lip color and outfit. Nobody's gonna be able to guess how much it cost since once of the lids all the shades work so well it creates the most beautiful timeless look ever.
