Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow - Bad To The Bronze

By 7/09/2014 10:49:00 am ,

Maybelline Bad To The Bronze ($6.99 for 4g) was released some 2 years ago and is one of the permanent shades. The line consists of both permanent colors and frequent limited ones. This has become their cult product and is very much loved by bloggers and even makeup artists due to its beautiful colors and remarkable staying power. Click on the link for ingredients.

24 hour wear without creasing or fading

Unique cream-gel texture

First of is the packaging: I must say it looks very chic with a glass jar and plastic black twist cap which reminds me of the MAC Paint Pots. On the side it looks like you get only a tiny bit of product but it in fact contains a full 4g, which is quite generous given that it is only $6.99 (keep in mind that Maybelline frequently has sales in their various distributor stores). I also very adore the name, it's simply so cute and cheeky :)

Now onto the product: it looks a little coppery in the pot but in fact swatched a cool-toned bronze with intense shimmery finish. I could get full intensity with only one swipe. When I rubbed my fingertip with the product it felt very creamy, smooth and was almost thin in consistency. The cream is very easy to apply with either finger or a brush and set within a few seconds. I didn't have it on for a full 24 hours but within the 5 hours that I tested it without any primer at all on my exceptional oily eyelids (even when primed eyeshadows still crease on me), I noticed minimal fading and zero creasing. I am very impressed by how it performs and also its finish. I can't wait to try more colors in the range since I now know that it does live up to the hype, it's totally worth it.
