Maybelline Eyestudio Eyeshadow Quad - Irresistibly Ivy
Maybelline Eyestudio Eyeshadow Quad in Irresistibly Ivy is unfortunately a discontinued product but you can still snatch one on Amazon
for 2.5g/ 0.09oz (roughly the weight of a standard-sized eyeshadow). I own 4 of these quads and I can very well see the consistency regarding the shadows' quality. The
product comes in an absolute flimsy plastic small compact yet can be
even smaller since I think the space for such rubbish sponge tip
applicator is a waste.
From left to right swatched on bare skin:
- A champagne beige with slightly chunkier shimmer particles
- An orange-toned gold with golden shimmer
- A matte teal with silvery gold glitter particles
- A reddened bronze-copper
Across the board all four shades are very pigmented, soft and work well even without primer (but you can always use a primer to boost colour intensity even more and prolong the wear). Particularly the gold is surprisingly smooth and the pigmentation is fantastic while the teal is a little dustier due to the matte base. This makes a very basic warm-toned neutral look with your basic champagne for highlight, gold on the lids, bronze for the crease and teal as a pop of colour. I especially love the gold since it has a nice different shift to it that makes it not at all boring and basic. I find this very useful to create a pretty variety of look. The quality of these quads are definitely checking out even if you have to hunt for them.
