Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush - 35 Lune d'Or

Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush in 35 Lune d'Or - roughly translated into Golden Moon (£7.99 for 2.5g / 0.08oz) is one of the permanent Bourjois blushers which have been around for forever. I received this in my Bronzed Up Makeup Kit - a limited edition set from Bourjois, but I find it to be also available individually on Boots. For international buyers, if you are interested in these blushers you can order from ASOS.

Our timeless blusher has been around for almost 150 years and have made Bourjois famous worldwide thanks to its amazing texture and packaging.
The baked texture transforms when applied to the skin into an ultra-fine pressed powder, which is easy to apply and blends impeccably. One stroke of the brush reveals the irresistible aroma of the rose scented powder.
Its built-in mirror and brush is perfect for touch-ups on the go!
The Little round pot blush exists in 12 shades to match all skin tones.

Despite housing only a tiny bit of product, this will definitely last you for a long time. My mother also has been having one for around 3 years now but the domed shape seems to only have a tiny dent. Like other blushers in this collection, it has quite a distinct perfumery scent that disappears as soon as it is applied to the skin, but I am very fond of the scent. There's something so cute and elegant about the packaging that I do have to at first sight! It fits comfortably on my palm with a tiny mirror and is an absolute delight to travel with. The brush it comes with is fine, a little scratchy but manageable.

The powder is a light pink with very fine golden shimmer and indeed finely milled. However, it feels stiff to the touch and is hard to pick up the product: I have to almost rub my fingers again the powder only to get the tiniest about of product out, and the pigmentation is not at all exceptional. It is required to build up quite a few layers to get the designed result, but it also necessarily means the level of shimmer increases.

Unlike the blusher that my mother has - the Ballerina Collection in La Tour Eiffel Ambre d’Or (Golden Amber - surprisingly a pink!), shade #32 - which offers lovely pigmentation, I find Lune d'Or quite disappointing. Nonetheless I can use it as a subtle highlighter on top of other blusher, it is still a waste especially for such lovely overall design.
