Makeup Academy MUA Shimmer Kiss Blusher
Wow,
Thursday already? This week seems to just pass like a rocket, maybe because I
only have to work 4 days. I only have a modest wish for 2 holidays a year, 6
months each :). Enough
rambling, now let's dive right in to the Makeup Academy's Shimmer Kisses
Blusher, released together with their Shimmer Kisses Bronzer which I reviewed
already here. I don't know, it seems to be a situation: I am
obsessed with MUA products and now have quite a massive collection of most of
their products (except their Lip Boom, which I've been eye-ing for a very long
time without getting it.
Maybe next time when I place an order I will get one or more, who knows, but you know my obsessive compulsive personality, meh!). The feeling of not having to break the bank for makeup cherish the makeup junkie in me, and I'd rather spend on many products to test rather than put all my money on some splurges. I don't at all mean that MUA products are worth being tested only - theirs are of very high quality but at the same time affordable, which I obviously love :)

PRICE:
GBP £3.00 for 7.3g of product.
AVAILABILITY: only on their website HERE . They do international shipping so there's nothing to worry about. And have I mentioned that they always have some kind of promo going on?
PACKAGING: this feels a lot sturdier than their normal compact, which I love. It fits on my palm perfectly and can be thrown into my purse without being afraid of breaking it. It doesn't come with a brush, but I find this more desirable than getting a useless brush that takes some unnecessary space. Keep it simple, keep it chic.
So there's another thumb-up for an affordable product: you can experiment as much as you can, and repurchase whenever without feeling guilty. I hate the feeling of having to pamper a product only duo to its price. And the last time I had a high-end product was a NARS palette and I completely left it somewhere unbeknownst to me.
As the name suggests, it's a shimmery compact. Apart from shade 4 which is almost a white shade, the other 3 are different degrees of a slightly dusty pink. Shade 2 and 4 are a little more shimmery with chunkier shimmer particles than the other two.
The product itself is soft, but not as buttery soft as you might anticipate and not shockingly pigmented. However, overall all four shade are nice, smooth and blend seamlessly onto the skin. I love it so much when a compact comes with different shades as you can customize it and use it on numerous purposes.
I love using the lightest shade as a highlighter and swirl my brush on whatever square I want for just a very light pink flush or a deeper, more intense pink cheeks. It layers well without appearing thick and cakey, too. It functions exactly like what they claim on the back of the compact, likey! I just love the healthy glow it gives my skin, so gorgeous and subtle.
Overall MUA nailed it again in bringing excellent products with a very budget-friendly price. I love it just as much as other MUA products and highly recommend them :)
I hope you find this helpful. Until next time!
